WHAT SHOULD I DO TO HEAL MY NEW TATTOO?

As soon as you’re able, wash your new tattoo thoroughly with warm soapy water, rinse and pat dry with a clean towel. When applying cream, use a non-oily, product VERY sparingly (we like Vitamnin E cream).
Once a day is good starting 48 hours after your tattoo session. Rub it all the way in so that you don’t have a film on top. Less is more - your tattoo should never look waterlogged. Continue this for 3 - 5 weeks AND REMEMBER: No sun, No submerging it in water (especially the ocean), No scratching, No touching it with unwashed hands, No tight clothes over it, No picking at the scabby/flaky bits, No cream for the first 48 hours.
You can shower as normal and you can workout/go to the gym as normal.
Special considerations should be taken for tattoos on the feet/hands and joints and be sure to follow special instructions from your artist if you are using second skin.

CAN I GET A TATTOO IF I’M UNDER 18?

We do not tattoo anybody who is under the age of 18 years old, not even with parental consent. No exceptions.

WHAT BODY PIERCING SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

We currently do not offer any body piercing services or sell any jewellery. Sorry!

CAN I BRING A FRIEND ALONG TO WATCH?

Yes! You are welcome to bring a guest with you if you wish. No entourages and no young children or babies please.

CAN I USE A TOPICAL NUMBING PRODUCT ON THE AREA TO BE TATTOOED?

It’s better if you don’t. The application of topical numbing patches, creams and gels results in a poorer outcome for the artwork as the skin becomes a less ideal tattooing surface after absorbing all of those chemicals. These products usually don’t last long and the pain can often seem worse once they wear off. Trust in yourself and get your head in the game! You can do it!

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR A TATTOO?

Bring your ID.
Make sure you’re fed and hydrated.
Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Ensure you’re wearing something that allows access the area to be tattooed.
Get excited!
For longer sittings:
Maybe bring some distractions with you (headphones, movies on your phone, books, etc) - nothing that will make you move around.
Consider bringing drinks and snacks to keep your sugars (and spirits) high.
Pray to the pain gods.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

No problem. However we do need 72 hours notice to refund your deposit. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment without 72 hours notice, you forfeit your deposit.

UUMMMM… SHOULD MY HEALING TATTOO LOOK LIKE THAT?

Healing tattoos will be scabby, flaky, weepy, itchy, red, swollen, and pretty much all other kinds of nasty looking for about 3-5 weeks. If you’re concerned about how your new tattoo is healing please come in and give us a look as soon as possible and we can advise from there.

CAN I HAVE A FEW DRINKS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

You can but you probably shouldn’t. You wont bleed to death but you might feel ill or move around more than you would if you were sober, which is not ideal. We take tattoos very seriously so if you show up for your appointment intoxicated, you will be asked to leave. Your deposit will not be refunded.
